About Amy

My early life was shaped around loss, healing, and navigating grief. I was two when my father passed away from brain tumors. I was put in grief counseling and therapy to help cope. Although I didn’t understand it then, I became very conscious of my surroundings and learned the language and tools needed to process and articulate the world around me. Throughout my upbringing, I stood up for injustice and wouldn’t let people escape from facing their harm or pain.

Then and now, I empathize with and understand the need to find fulfillment and balance in a stressful world. I struggled in high school with ‘enoughness’ and could relate to hard feelings around low self-worth, value, and a need to find one’s place in the world. I obtained my Bachelor’s Degree in Psychology at Indiana University and graduated feeling fearful and unclear about my next steps—so I to moved to New York and began a career in fashion marketing and PR.

Fast forward to 2016 - after nearly a decade in corporate marketing, I was struggling with my identity, depressed, burnt out, anxious, and unsatisfied. I had had enough and began exploring and researching psychology and its other modalities. Coaching called out to me; it answered two permeating questions: What do you do with all of this self-discovery? How do you move out of that stage of discovery and INTO action? In the summer of 2016, I felt past my fear and my family’s resistance, trusted myself, and leaped into Coaching for Transformation, a program through Leadership That Works, accredited by the International Coaching Federation (ICF). I felt like I had finally arrived - and experienced the full power of being courageous to support my entrepreneurial aspirations. I graduated, got married, honeymooned, and went back to my last corporate job - only to be told that I was being let go for budgetary reasons. The layoff was the biggest gift, allowing me to dive headfirst into my coaching career, and The Salt Collective was started with vigor in June 2017.

  • I view myself as a trusted co-collaborator on your journey of growth and discovery. I will be the most empathetic mirror you’ve ever met; I hold space, ask questions, and reflect insights to you in a comprehensible, informative way, that allows you to make necessary shifts in life and work.

  • Motherhood has been transformative in many ways. The most profound gift has been how it’s defined the human experience and clarified the basic needs required for adults. Most of that involves giving space and grace—but also finding new versions of freedom and exploration.

  • I’ve always had really strong gut feelings and when my intuition speaks to me loudly, the only thing I can do is listen. Part of what I do is help people cultivate and feel into that relationship for themselves, regardless of how that type of guidance may look or be experienced.

About The Salt Collective

The Salt Collective was made for ambitious individuals in life transitions or in pursuit of deeper knowing and alignment and seeking more agency over their own life and work. As an element, salt is fluid; in its crystallized form, it can be hard, rough, and abrasive. Put it in water, and it dissolves and transforms properties. There is a dichotomy between the hard and soft, similar to the grey areas of evolution and transformation—which is also true of emotions, priorities, values, needs, and personal interactions. These things can look a certain way in one moment and become something else to serve a different purpose in another.

The Salt Collective is a safe container for those looking to reduce stagnation, cleanse their outlook on life, and open up new pathways of being and showing up in the world. It’s a place to feel seen, heard, and supported to stand in your innate power.

Take the time to get to know yourself. Get clear on what you want and learn what is holding you back. It’s possible to feel supported as you lean into your intuition, build awareness, and heal what no longer serves you.
